What do television personalities such as entrepreneur, Donald Trump, Socialite and Heiress, Paris Hilton and talk-television media mogul, Oprah Winfrey have in common?
They have visibility that is permanently edged in people’s minds. They have marketing expertise and promotional power that allows them to maintain longevity in the video and television industry. Their fire does not go out because they remain a hot commodity which yields desired network ratings. Whether it be a Reality Show, a book, a film or controversial piece, viewers can go days without seeing them but viewers will still talk about them. That is the level of celestial heights they attained.
Each one has a signature trademark that the general public relates to and that trademark serves as a connecting link between themselves and the public.
Donald Trump appeared on a night time talk show and emhasizaed that multiple streams of income are the way to go. He alluded to the fact that this contributes to his success because he is involved in more than one venture. Oprah Winfrey emulates similar strategies ; by having a talk show, producing her own films and acting in movies, and participating in political and humanitarian causes. Oprah showcases her versatility and that makes her memorable.
Paris Hilton tends to be riskier and controversial but manages to garner attention where ever she goes because she knows there are people obsessed with her life. Paris uses that to further market herself even if it generates a buzz.
Hence, the names of those mentioned above serve as a catalyst for initiating change (Oprah), stirring up controversy (Paris) and leveraging wealth amassed overtime (Donald).
Finding your niche in television is a metaphor for securing your space in MultiLevel Marketing. Once you have established that niche, cultivate it so that you promote products and recruit representatives in record numbers.
Apply some general rules of thumb such as:
1. Self-promote – use inexpensive or free marketing tools that create a business and generate customer turnout instead of customer burnout. A happy customer or prospect recalls how they were treated and will return if treated properly.
2.No fear - Exude confidence and believe what you are promoting because customers look for facial reactions. Customers know when someone is a pushy salesman verses a sincere salesperson.
3.Block out Negativity- and welcome postivity. Allow the naysayers to do what they do best; complain. Sever ties with such people so that you are not affected by it. Let it motivate your momentum.
When it is all said and done, the journey you choose either leads to success or disappointment but you choose that path based on your preference, performance and desire for profit.
